ISO 45001:2018 Internal Auditor (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems) Course
(CQI and IRCA 1936)
This course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills required to perform an internal audit as part of an occupational health and safety management system based on ISO 45001 (or an equivalent), and to report on the effective implementation and maintenance of the management system.
Guardian Independent Certification Limited is an approved training partner of Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) of the United Kingdom, and this course is certified by CQI and IRCA with Registration No. 1936.
The successful completion of this course will increase learners’ credibility, enable learners to conduct internal audits against ISO 45001, and satisfy the formal training requirements for individuals seeking to become a certified internal auditor with CQI and IRCA.

What will you learn
- Know and understand the relationship pertaining to the occupational health and safety management system purpose, external and internal issues, relevant interested parties’ relevant requirements, scope, leadership and worker participation, OH& amp;S policy, OH& amp;S objectives, resources, operations, monitoring, measurement, analysis, evaluation and performance improvement, incident, non-conformity and corrective action, and the significance of these for OHSMS auditors
- Understand typical workplace hazards and operational controls that may be implemented to manage OH& amp;S risks and comply with applicable statutory and legal requirements, plus other requirements, and the significance of these for OH& amp;S auditors. Outline the requirements for internal audit.
- Plan, conduct, report and follow up on an internal audit of part of an occupational health and safety management system based on ISO 45001 and in accordance with ISO 19011.
What do you need to know prior to enrolling
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety management systems
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety management principles and concepts,
- Understanding of the requirements of ISO 45001
Learners who are not familiar with the purpose and intent of the ISO 45001, and the requirements of ISO 45001 should attend the CQI and IRCA Certified Foundation Training course before attending this course.

Delivery Methodology
Two options:
- A 16-hour virtual classroom course delivered over two days or
- A 16-hour traditional face-to-face classroom course delivered over two days
This course is structured with sizeable time spent on activity-based learning. There are many group exercises, workshops and case studies for discussions, presentations, and interactions between learners and tutors.
The virtual classroom courses are delivered in real time via our online platform and provide learners with the flexibility of attending from a convenient place, without the requirement of traveling.
