What is Transit Packaging Testing?

Transit Packaging testing determines whether a product packaging is appropriate and robust enough for the product it holds. It requires the packaged product to be subjected to various environmental as well as dynamic conditions. Some of the tests include temperature and humidity storage simulation and simulated drop testing.

Why Transit Packaging Testing?

With the proliferation of e-commerce, manufacturers are now able to sell across different countries and continents. As such, goods and products have to be shipped across far greater distances.

Packaging testing will help manufacturers ensure that their products reach their consumers in better condition. This will reduce replacement costs of damaged products and enhance their brand image as there would be less of customer complaints and more of favorable reviews.
